The types of paper and surfaces:

Please get acquainted with the different surfaces we offer and find the most adequate one for you and your pictures!

  • Already known to the perfect color glossy and matte papers, photo: Patyi Árpád, Korbely Attila, Békefi DóriGLOSSY and LUSTRE surfaces (FujiColor Crystal Archive Digital)

Papers having these two surface types are the most frequently used ones being capable to cover almost all the requirements of the market from the photos of nature through portraits up to the decorations and display equipment and booklets.

You should not confuse the carriers named photo paper used also in printers with the real photo paper, because they are not identical, as the printable photo paper is a carrier consisting of a lower protecting layer and an upper printable one and its characteristics define the surface of the printed picture whether it is glossy or flat and the picture constituted by the paint layers is on the top. Photosensitive paper and printed paper in the general comparisonIt has a great deficiency that there is no protecting layer above the picture, which can cause its damage.

In contrary, the photo emulsion consists of a lower reinforced carrier layer, a layer providing the properties of the surface (glossy or flat) then the light sensitive layers sensing separately the three basic colors of light, which record the information through chemical reactions during exposure, which is converted into a perfect picture later through development with chemicals and there is an uppermost protecting layer, which protects the picture. There is no blur or peeling down of the paint in this paper.

  • PEARL (Fujicolor Crystal Archive Digital)

Fuji Pearl pearl-gloss paperThis is currently the newest paper we offer with surface, which has already got its own and well-deserved reputation on the international market. Its surface named super-glossy abroad earned great success among artist photographers, photographers of models or wedding photos, as well as among highlighted advertisement materials. The paper has as special feature a reinforced carrier of white tone providing perfect sharpness of lines of inscriptions. The fantastic color rendition capability is provided by the specialized new emulsion layer and a special pearlescent layer of special light-reflecting capability and having microscopic grains over the protecting layer.

  • METALLIC (Kodak Professional Endura Metallic)

It is a paper type used by our company since several years and being popular for almost all circles of photographers. It has special features of the metallic aspect and color layer dynamically changing under influence of extraordinarily intensive light or tangential one. Its main characteristics are the wide color gamut and the incredible fullness of tones especially those of the black and white pictures, therefore the paper is applied by a number of artists and he or she sets the illumination and positions the model in various environments taking this feature into account while composing or creating the picture. This effect is provided by its special metallic/silvery layer, through which the manufacturer managed to reach the incredibly high lastingness of the material making it almost tear-proof and of enhanced lifetime.

  • DURATRANS és DURACLEAR backlightable materials

DuraTrans and DuraClear translucent materials, Photo: Persona Ltd.

These materials introduced a new standard into the world of the backlight advertisements. The old-fashioned backlight materials enlarged by hand operation were soon forced back by printed materials of lesser quality and because of the difficulties of putting inscriptions onto them. No obstacles of such character emerge using our products, because we are in continuous contact with advertizing companies since our establishment, so our products are present both in shops and restaurants everywhere in the country. These surfaces represent the highest quality and standard in the field of backlight materials of photo quality. The intensive clear white, the incredibly saturated colors and the perfectly deep black appearing as result of the low D-min constitute the basis of the prevalence of these materials The thickness and stability of the layers of the carrier makes possible that they can be stressed rigidly and steadily even without special supplementary work such as mounting onto fiberglass providing the effect of a perfectly stressed and back-lighted picture in this way.

DuraClear translucent and can be projected. Projection: NeoneonThe backlight material DURACLEAR hat another special characteristic. The transparence expressed also by its name – clear – appears in such a way that a lighter part of the picture is more transparent part of the material and finally the most white point becomes completely clear. The characteristics of the material are very similar to those of slides used in the traditional cameras. This results that the material becomes projectable. There are some companies applying technology of projecting pictures onto the walls of buildings, painting backgrounds of theatrical performances or the whole environment on festivals. We should only remember the light painting of the Parliament, the pictures in the headquarters of the Matáv (Hungarian Telecommunications Company) or a scene of the festival Szaft (Sauce) in Szentendre where the whole Főtér (Main square) was projected in its panorama of 360 grades.

A short description of the technology:

Ever since our company has been founded 10 years ago we have a technology that is unique on the market of photo processing in Hungary up to the present day. Durst Lambda 131 imagesetter's laser module

The lighting down apparatus Durst Lambda 131, being international market leader in the field of the large format photo exposing apparatuses belongs to that technology.

It has 3 separated high-power lasers (RGB) independently controlled by a sophisticated system of mirrors arranged on a surface of nearly 3 square meters wherein the light beams are finally united into a single one and a mirror rotating with high speed projects the final picture to the light sensitive emulsion to be exposed. All is done with high speed, perfect uniformity and high sharpness of lines. This system of high precision, assembled by the manufacturer from components each of them is acquired from the best manufacturers of several countries provides the impression of the perfectly genuine photo and inimitability of the technology.

Colenta WideTrack RA-4 140 retrieving process

Having been exposed, the paper carrying light sensitive emulsion is transferred to the processor-controlled developing machine Colenta WideTrack 140 RA-4 of regeneration calculated the square meters, which develops the genuine photo with the help of 5 tanks, each of nearly 30 liter volume. It is essential to regenerate precisely the chemicals in order to ensure the continuous uniformity and stableness, and continuously circulate and exchange the water in the washing racks in order to get the paper perfectly washed and free of chemicals providing longer lifetime to your pictures in comparison to those developed with the majority of developing machines with super-stabilizers.

Unique color profiles for paper types

In order to utilize completely the ranges of colors, as well as those of tones of our used papers we have established color profiles separately for the different types of surface. You can control your pictures using them, avoiding the oversaturated colors, which cannot be displayed on paper pictures but appearing on the monitor, they may be even magnificent but telling the truth, there are things, which cannot be displayed anyway in reflective form, whatever it be, paint or emulsion. You can find these specific profiles in the part of Downloads.
